Governing Board Members

The Kadam Education Initiative is steered by a dedicated Governing Board comprising visionary leaders from the fields of social work, education, and grassroots advocacy. Our board provides the strategic direction and ethical oversight required to fulfill our mission of empowering marginalized children and youth through quality education and life-skills development. Each member brings a wealth of experience in community mobilization and systemic change, ensuring our programs are both impactful and sustainable.

Meera Rafiyuddin Malek

Managing Trustee

Meera Malek is well known for her interventions with adolescent girls. Girls are assisted to complete higher secondary and mostly graduation while equipping them for life with life skills, employable skills, and a mature, confident personality.

Rajesh Girish Bhat

Trustee

Rajesh Bhat is a social development veteran with over 40 years of experience leading organizations like ASAG and Swapath Trust. He specializes in rural poverty, child welfare, and disaster management using a community-driven, participatory approach. Additionally, he is an educator who has taught at various institutions, including Basel University in Switzerland.

Gaurang Jagdishprasad Raval

Trustee

Founder of the organisation Sauhard, Gaurang Raval is a renowned youth activist, engaging with college students and rural youth on constitutional values. 

Prasad Mathew Chacko

Trustee

Prasad Chacko is a senior development professional who has been working towards inclusion of marginalized communities in governance institutions and facilitating them to influence development policy and implementation

Anuradha Singh

Trustee

Anuradha Singh is a law graduate and development professional with 24+ years of experience in training, programme management, and research. She works with vulnerable communities, focusing on women’s empowerment, health, children, and inclusion. She currently leads Saath Gramin Trust, overseeing initiatives in child nutrition, adolescent health and hygiene, and women’s empowerment.
